For testing laboratory Federal Mogul in Brno, which perform tests of braking systems, a four channel unit was developed. Unit transmits signals from thermocouples which are installed directly into the brake discs. Existing solution based on slip rings was replaced with wireless telemetry, which is continuously powered via induction power coupling.
Replacement of mechanical contacts has increased reliability of the system and has reduced number of service checks. System was installed into the chassis of original slip ring machine without the need to make mechanical modification.
